How will this year's Conference be facilitated?

Following feedback from delegates, it is apparent that there is much desire for the conference to return 'back to normal' as a full in-person event. With this in mind, we have been working hard to ensure that 2022 can see the resumption of the conference in full as an in-person event.

That said, we have also taken the decision to hybridise some of the more successful elements of the online participation over the past couple of years; allowing for greater accessibility and wider participation for delegates who are unable (or prefer not) to travel.

This year's conference will therefore see Day 1 (Speakers Presentations) available to attend in BOTH an in-person and virtual basis. Given the nature of Day 2 Workshops, which involve groupwork and discussions, the format is not conducive to hybridisation. With this in mind, we have taken the decision to run the Workshops on an in-person basis only.

 


Day 1 - Speakers Day - In-Person Attendance

 

Where will the conference be held?

PDP Conferences take place in high quality central city hotel venues. In London, hotel venues are always located within a short distance of a major Central London tube station. Full joining instructions, including a map and directions, will be sent to all delegates two weeks prior to the event.

 

Is lunch included?

Yes, lunch is included for all delegates at all PDP conferences.

 

Is a discount available for multiple delegates attending the same conference?
Yes, (where applicable) discounts are available for multiple delegates attending from your organisation on the same conference. A 15% discount is available for second and subsequent delegates booked at the same time from the same organisation. Discounts will be applied to the delegate/s with the least expensive booking. Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code for conference events. Most people choose to dress 'smart casual'.

 

 

Day 1 - Speakers Day - Virtual Attendance

 

How will the Virtual Conference be facilitated?

PDP has commissioned a dedicated events platform provider to live-stream the Speakers Day of the Conference so delegates can enjoy a full virtual experience. The platform has functionality for networking via 'round tables', as well as a delegate chat facility.

 

What is included with my Conference place?

Your booking gives you access to all the Speakers Presentations from Day 1 which will be streamed on the day. There is also a 'Delegate Resources Area' where PDF copies of the Presentations will be made available (should you wish to print these at home)

 

How will I be given access to the Conference platform?

We will be sending out joining instructions a few days before the conference. This will outline exactly how to access the portal along with your own personal login credentials. We will also provide a full agenda for the Speakers Presentations to ensure you are prepared for when the streaming begins.

 

Can I partake in the Conference with a tablet or mobile device?

Yes. The platform is configured to run on laptops, PCs and most mobile devices. As the platform is accessed through a web browser, you will need a strong and stable internet connection.

Day 2 - Workshops - In-Person ONLY

 

Where will the Workshops be held?

The Workshops will be held in the same venue as the Day 1 Speakers Presentations. However as each of the workshops will take place in a classroom, these will be in a different part of the venue to the first day. Specific instructions will be provided to delegates a few days before the conference is scheduled to take place.

 

Is lunch included?

Yes, lunch is included for all delegates attending the workshops.

 

 

Making a Booking

 

Which elements of the Conference can I book?

Bookings can be made for the FULL CONFERENCE (which include Day 1 Presentations and Day 2 Workshops), DAY 1 ONLY (Virtual or in-person attendance) or DAY 2 ONLY (in-person attendance). Each of these options is available to select in a dropdown box in the online booking form.

 

Can I reserve a place while I wait for a Purchase Order number to be raised that I need you to include on the invoice?

PDP does not accept provisional bookings. Your booking is confirmed when we send you an invoice. If you need us to include a PO number on your invoice, please supply us with this information at the time of booking.

 

What types of payment do you accept?

We only accept payment via BACS (bank transfer) at this time.

 

Can we pay for the conference course by credit/debit card?

PDP does not currently accept payments by card.

 

What happens if I need to cancel my conference place?
